SUNSET HILLS, Mo. - A pair of brand-new exhibits have opened up at Laumeier Sculpture Park, showing new styles from three artists in south St. Louis County. Even the heavy rain couldn't get in the way of the three artists -Vaughn Davis Jr., Lenka Clayton and Phillip Andrew Lewis - as they displayed their hard work to the public Saturday. "I want to create a work in the painting genre that has never been seen before," said Davis. Two displays are being shown at the park to demonstrate their respective specialties.Inside the Aronson Fine Arts Center, several paintings were put up with their own special features. Five new Missouri laws to know that become official Monday "I want to think about what a piece of art can look like," said Davis. "Is it unfinished? Is it complete?"Davis showed FOX 2 an exhibit called "The Fabric of Our Time." It features paintings that have been torn in various ways. Kiszla: Clown time is over for Broncos and Buffs. Both teams will be better than Vegas oddsmakers think.

For far too long, the “F” in football around here has stood for failure with a capital F.The boring Broncos? A joke. The bumbling Buffaloes? A laughingstock. For far too long, the football season in our corner of the mountain time zone has been rocky, to put it mildly. But all that misery?Clown time for the Broncos and Buffs is over.Sean Payton and Deion Sanders will make football fun again in Colorado.I don’t need to guarantee it, because the new coaches in charge of the operation in Denver and Boulder won’t accept losing.Sanders stood up Friday and preached to more than 1,500 CU boosters at a kickoff luncheon. He vowed the Buffs “want it all. They don’t just want a little bit, they just don’t want a portion of it, they want it all. And they just don’t want to win, they want to dominate.”After the Romper Room run by Nathaniel Hackett, Payton has once again given the Broncos an adult in the team meeting room.Archie Manning passed through our dusty old cowtown last week to visit the gr...

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A white man fatally shot three people inside a Jacksonville, Florida, Dollar General store on Saturday in a predominately Black neighborhood in an attack that the local sheriff called “racially motivated.” The shooter then killed himself.“He hated black people,” Sheriff T.K. Waters told a news conference. “There is absolutely no evidence the shooter is part of any larger group.”Waters said the shooter, who was in his 20s, used a Glock handgun and an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle with at least one of the firearms painted with a swastika. He left behind writings that led investigators to believe that he committed the shooting because it was the fifth anniversary of when another gunman opened fire during a video game tournament in Jacksonville, killing two people before fatally shooting himself. The shooting happened just before 2 p.m. at a Dollar General near Edward Waters University, a small historically Black university. The shooter had driven there from neighboring ...

What we learned from SF Giants’ seventh-straight series loss

SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco Giants offense is the Wilmer Flores Show until further notice. On Saturday, Flores hit his 19th home run off Braves star Max Fried to tie a career-high set last season. He’s hit 11 of the Giants’ last 34 home runs and coupled his consistent power with an improved contact rate that’s made him the team’s best hitter. The clutch guy, the pillar.Flores’ two-run home run tied the game 2-2 in the third inning and gave the Giants a glimmer of hope to salvage a series against Atlanta. With how things are going in San Francisco, there was no one else in the Giants lineup that could keep that mojo going as they fell 7-3 and lost the series at Oracle Park with a chance to prevent a sweep on nationally televised Sunday Night Baseball. With that, they’ve lost seven straight series dating back to a two-game sweep against the bottom-feeding Oakland A’s in July. They’ve dropped 14 of their last 19 games and, as th...

ATLANTA (AP) — Viktor Hovland delivered another sterling performance, this time starting from the top that allowed him to pull away Saturday in the Tour Championship with a 4-under 66 that gave him a six-shot lead going into the final round of the PGA Tour season. That leaves the Norwegian star 18 holes away from the $18 million bonus.Hovland came into East Lake fresh off a 61 in the final round at Olympia Fields — 28 on the back nine — to rally for a victory in the BMW Championship. He was tied with Collin Morikawa to start the sunbaked third round, with Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm and Xander Schauffele all lined up behind him. No one could keep pace, especially after a 90-minute stoppage because of storms in the area.Hovland, who started at 8-under par as the No. 2 seed, was at 20 under.Schauffele, who has never finished worse than seventh or shot worse than par in his seven years playing the Tour Championship, had a 68 and was at 14 under.
